Fall Uniform

As the weather starts to cool down I’m wearing my uniform: jeans+sweater+moto jacket. I pretty much wear this look from September -- December unless the weather permits tights and a dress. Black booties are a staple for me and I try to pick up a pair at the thrift store whenever I see them. These Fry boots were such a score! The quality is impeccable, especially compared to the Joe Fresh boots that I destroyed last spring. I can appreciate the quality because I walked many miles in poorly made boots (but I persevered, and wore them to the sole).

On another note, this backpack is a cool mauve-y purple and can be both a backpack and a cross body bag. It’s especially handy when gallery-hoping because it means I don't need to check-in my bag (since I can quickly convert it to a cross body purse). I also love that the colour can work year-round and it adds a pop of colour to my otherwise quite natural looks. Shout-out to the awesome local business from which I bought it from: La Bichette, located in Hamilton! They don’t have an online store but if you’re in downtown Hamilton, check it out on James Street North. They have the nicest staff and a lovely curated shop!
