This outfit started with the dress. It’s stretchy, it’s body-con and its comfortable. Usually when I wear something super tight I try to “cover up” or balance out the skin-tightness with something structured or loose. In this case, I chose a denim jacket.

I love, and have loved this jacket for years. My sister gifted it to me (and she found it secondhand!) and its the perfect amount of cropped, the perfect light wash and it goes with everything…

Except my arms. Urgh. This jacket no longer fits because of my arms (I’d like to think that it’s because I got buff). It’s so sad! Everywhere else is fine but I can’t raise my arms in this thing. Originally I tossed it in a bag to bring to Plato’s closet (a consignment store) but I keep taking it out to wear again and again. I’ve been trying to find a replacement for around 4 months and just can’t seem to find something that ticks all the boxes. There’s a denim jacket on Everlane that is pretty tempting but I kind of wanted to find a secondhand option.

So until then, I guess I’m just going to keep wearing it because I just can’t seem to let go.

How do you guys deal with clothes as you change sizes? Do you immediately donate them or do you try to prolong the time you can wear them (if they were a favourite of yours?).

My accessories are warm toned brown hues because I thought they complimented the cargo green dress. I’m determined to break in these leather loafers I found secondhand because they are woven, handmade and I can imagine they’ll be so versatile!

Hope you're enjoying the warmer weather!

Cheers,

Christina
